Aim - To raise funds for the Poppy Appeal

Objective - Complete a 5km Family Fun Run in aid of the Poppy Appeal to coincide with Armed Forces Day and celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE and VJ Day.

Introduction - The Honiton Branch of The Royal British Legion in Honiton is organising a 5km Family Fun Run in Honiton on 28th June 2025. The event will be open to all and will comprise of a circular route, approximately 5km around the town of Honiton, starting and finishing on the High Street. The event will be capped at 250 runners. There will be no age restrictions, but we would strongly advise the runners should be over 9 years old and of a level of fitness capable of completing 5 Kilometres or 3 Miles in less than 45 minutes. Children under 16 should run with a parent or guardian.

Route - The route will be a circular route of approximately 5km (3 Miles) starting on the High Street and arriving back on the High Street for the finish where the event started. It is anticipated that most participants will run on the pavements and turning left at most traffic intersections. It is planned that all major road crossings will be marshalled reducing the risk to the participants.
