Forde Abbey Cross Country 10k 2019 - On the Day Entries only now
26 June 2019
Results are on our website and facebook page - https://chardrunningclub.btck.co.uk/
Race is still open for on the day entries - online entries are now closed.
We have 300 medals so if on the day entries take the total past 300 then those who enter after position 300 will have to receive a medal at a later date.
Please note this year the event is on the last Wednesday of June
Set in the heart of West Dorset, the Forde Abbey 10k Cross Country race rolls through woodlands, meadows and rivers on the stunning Forde Abbey Estate.
The 10km route includes mud, rocky tracks, hills, big views, more hills and two river crossings near to the end, after some more hills. Few race routes rival this for spectacular rural scenery. What better way is there to spend a summer evening?
If you haven't run it for a few years and you remember the old route, then you'll find a couple of changes near Hewood. Also the first river crossing is not so severe. The total length is now 10k - it was somewhat shorter beforehand.
As with all Chard Road Runner events, we won't be doing postal entries - just online here, or enter on the day. Medal for all participants.
Obviously weather dependent but it is great location to bring a picnic to and stay on after the event.
The minimum age for the 10k is 17.
A Junior 1500 metres race within the grounds of the park is being held, starting at 18:15. It is open to primary school children and below. There are no lower age limits. Medal for all participants.
Team prize - 4 runners, must be mixed - as in at least one male/female
Please arrive in plenty of time to pick up your number from Race HQ - numbers will not be sent out.
