GO BIG EVENTS- Presents Dawn till Dusk 2025
A chance to see what you have in the tank with our 'Dawn till Dusk' 12 hour swimming event. Taking place in grounds of St. Donats Castle, a 15th century castle overlooking the South Wales coast, we will be using the outdoor pool.
This is a great opportunity to test distance swimming in a safe environment. The real question is, how far can you go?
A number of fun awards will be presented at the end of the event for furthest distance swam in each entry category
A green space around the outdoor pool is available to set 'camp' for the day. Refreshments and beverages will be available at the event.
Entry includes, swim cap and Medal
Varying entry options are available;
- Standard solo- 30 minutes in the water 30 minutes out- total swim time 6hrs
- Standard 2 Person Team relay -The Team have 12 x 30 minute swims, i.e. 1 x 30 minute swim every hour- Break it down how you see fit!
- Standard 3 Person Team relay -The Team have 12 x 30 minute swims, i.e. 1 x 30 minute swim every hour- Break it down how you see fit!
- Standard 4 Person Team relay -The Team have 12 x 30 minute swims, i.e. 1 x 30 minute swim every hour- Break it down how you see fit!
- Extreme Solo - 12 hour swim place- total swim time 12hrs
Please note, the outdoor pool is not heated and temperatures are completely dependent on the weather; last year water temperature was approximately 16 Degrees. You are welcome to wear a wetsuit if you feel you require one for some or all of the swims! The format is 30mins in 30 mins out, there are no variations (apart from the extreme entry!). You must start each 30 minute swim on time but you do not need to stay in for the full 30 minutes if you want to finish each swim early.
