The Race and Course
The Charmouth Challenge (now in its 37th year) is a chip timed 8-mile fell run. It is a hilly multi-terrain course through some of the finest coastal scenery in the South West on Dorset's beautiful Jurassic Coast, overlooking Charmouth's famous fossil hunting beaches with views to historic Lyme Regis. It includes an ascent of Golden Cap, which is the highest point on the South Coast of England at 191 metres.
PLEASE NOTE: The use of headphones are not allowed, no dogs or wheeled vehicles. You must be 18 to enter this race.

The main race is run under the FRA regulations as a Category B Medium Event.

On-line entries close 10am on 5th July 2019 or when race reaches capacity. Entries on the day £22 (cash only) if race not full.

This event is run by the Charmouth Primary School PTA. It is the main fundraising event of the year and all proceeds go to the school.
