Cardiff X 2017 - Senior Women and Masters
22 January 2017
The Cardiff Cross Challenge was founded in 1997, and took place inside the Castle walls for two years, since when it has grown into one of the most prestigious Cross Country events in the UK. In 2000 organisers hosted the AAA Inter-Counties Championships on the same course.
The 2017 Event takes place on Sunday 22nd January in Blackweir Fields, just north of the City Centre. The course takes runners around parkland, through woodland sections and alongside the river Taff.
Our event incorporates the fourth meeting in the British Athletics Cross Challenge Series, the Celtic International, a Senior International, Schools Invitation Races and the Welsh University Championships.
All races are fully marshalled, and the course is marked to national standards. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are all provided.
St John’s Ambulance will be in attendance. Sports massage therapy, a Sports shop and Catering facilities will all be available. Hotel accommodation is located nearby, and more information can be found on the travel page of the race website.
