Bristol Triathlon is back for a 3rd time with Tough Runner! Date to be confirmed for 2023 soon.
2022 was a great race and we’re excited to be back!
The Bristol Triathlon is open to all, it’s the ideal race for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Whatever ability you may be at this truly is a race for everyone, sign up today and enjoy the challenge!
For 2023 there will be a sprint distance or if you want an extra challenge then take on the standard.
The Bristol Triathlon 2023 is a closed road triathlon starting at the historical and picturesque Bristol Harbour. You’ll start the race with a swim in the Cumberland Basin. Then move on to a flat, and fast, closed road bike course down Portway, and round it all off with an epic run and finish through our dragon arch.
SPRINT DISTANCE: SWIM 750M, BIKE (CLOSED ROADS) 23K, RUN 5K
STANDARD DISTANCE: SWIM 1.5K, BIKE (CLOSED ROADS) 35K, RUN 10K

REGISTRATION & TRANSITION OPENS : 6AM
REGISTRATION & TRANSITION CLOSES : 7:35AM
MANDATORY RACE BRIEF: 7:50AM
RACE START: 8.00AM
BIKE CUT OFF: 12:00PM

Sprint Distance:
–SWIM: 750M will be set in the safety of the Cumberland Basin (SWIM ROUTE HERE)
–BIKE: 23KM (2 loops of 11.5k) set on closed roads of the A4, you will enjoy iconic scenery of Bristol (RACE ROUTE HERE)
–RUN: 5K run to finish what I set to be Bristol’s BIGGEST Triathlon- RACE ROUTE HERE
Standard Distance:
–SWIM: 1.5KM (2 loops of sprint) will be set in the safety of the Cumberland Basin
–BIKE: 35KM (3 loops) set on closed roads of the A4, you will enjoy iconic scenery of Bristol
–RUN: 10KM run to finish what I set to be Bristol’s BIGGEST Triathlon
RACE RULES:
British Triathlon Federation Rules (BTF)
BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to this race). Non BTF members must be licensed to race which costs £6 and is payable to BTF. This cost is included within the non member ticket price.

Minimum age for competitors
The minimum age to take part in this event is 17.
British Triathlon Federation Rules
BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to this race)
All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £6GBP levy for a day license. This can be purchased the same time you collect your race number.
