Badminton HTE 2018 5k
30 September 2018
Monday 17th September. The on line entry is now closed, but entries can still be made on the day at Badminton Park. Registration will open at 8.30am on Sunday 30th September 2018.
This unique event, now in its 35th year, is run by The Rotary Club of the South Cotswolds to raise money for local charities. It is held in Badminton Park in Gloucestershire, and the all-terrain course takes the runners over some of the world-famous Horse Trials obstacles, in sight of the deer herds, and through fields and woods.
Juniors aged 15 or under on 1st October 2018.
E-registration and chip timing for the event are being handled by Full on Sport. Entries received before Sunday 16th September will be sent a free car park ticket for the event. On the day entries will need to pay £5/car for a car park ticket on arrival.
Every entrant will receive a medal at the finish, and the winner of each category will receive a certificate. The best fancy dress team, judged at the beginning of the race, will also receive a prize.
The course and obstacles are always well marked and well marshalled, with radios, water and First Aid available around the course. Spectators have a great time enjoying the park in the fine weather. Dogs are allowed but, with so many deer and sheep around, they must be kept on leads at all times.
Each year this event raises money for charities; in 2017 the money we raised went to Cystic Fibrosis, local Air cadets, Scout and Girl Guide groups.
Gift Aid
By answering YES to the question ‘Are you claiming Gift Aid?’ on the Enter Race page, I confirm that I (the donor) have read this statement and want The Rotary Club of The South Cotswolds (the charity) to reclaim tax on the entry fee for this event (my donation), given on the date shown.
I understand that I must pay an amount of UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities and CASCs will claim on my donor gifts for a tax year, and that I am responsible to pay any difference. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given.
